The first local lockdown in Leicester is announced
Matt Hancock announces that the UK’s first local lockdown would be applied in Leicester and parts of Leicestershire.

Continued easing of lockdown restrictions
Local Lockdown restrictions in Leicester and part of Leicestershire come into force on 4th July 2020. While, more restrictions are eased in England including reopening of pubs, restaurants and hairdressers.
Eat Out to Help Out Scheme begins
The government launch the Eat Out to Help Out scheme that offers 50% discount on meals up to £10 per person.
